Hey! I’m Dennis, a 22 year-old Film Studies graduate from Norwich (I know, I know). I’ve just started out in the field of online film journalism and I pay the bills by working at the local petrol station; it’s as thrilling as it sounds. Main interesting include indie comic books, electronic/alt. rock music and independent American cinema. I’ve just begun writing for The 405 but have started a weekly feature called ‘The Art of Film Advertising’ and will be doing the odd review here and there.

405 CONTRIBUTORS PLEASE READ! I’m a complete Tumblr n00b, can someone please take two minutes of their time to edit the above profile so that it looks the same as everyone else’s? Thank you so much.

Hi there, I’m Victoria. I’m 16, I move house a fair amount. I’m from Hertfordshire, lived in Brighton for a few years and now I live in Dubai (gosh, how exotic). I’m a newbie to The 405, I write reviews and stuff. I’m an irritatingly sarcastic music geek and I’m developing into a bit of a movie nerd as well. I also fully admit to being a complete Twitter addict. I sort of have my heart set on becoming a music journalist once I’ve left school but also I wouldn’t mind being famous, I’m just not sure what I’d be famous for.

Hey! I’m MYLES. I’ve been part of The 405 for like, two months, just a bit more? Who knows! Feels like WAY more! I’ve been contributing Art stuffs, the interviews on smaller designers & illustrators shall be me (see; Adrian Dutt, etc)! And also dabbling in some more music bits from time to time.
I’m 17, but i’m like a dinosaur and bite at pretty much everything asked and just go for it, ambitions are good, right?
I’m a music promoter/graphic designer/student/photographer in the usual time, based in Devon, UK. It’s pretty fun, beaches and stuff are wicked yeah! I like to combine all of what i’m interested in, so usually all of my gigs will be my own graphics, photography, everything!
I like a lot of music, too much to say. I couldn’t even name my favourite band.

Yo! I’m Katherine. I’ve been part of The 405 since FOREVER (read: about six months) and I like doing reviews, and the odd interview, whenever the fancy takes me. I love The 405, it’s wicked.
I’m 16 and I will use this as an excuse if anyone leaves mean comments on my reviews. I will also CRY.
I have ridiculous, half-arsed ambitions of becoming some kind of music hack, and am feverishly gaining experience so I can move out of the arse-end of Ireland and into London, where I will obviously immediately become surrounded by indie-rock elitists, and can fulfil my life’s goal, which is to give Stephen Malkmus a deeply, deeply inappropriate hug. You can read all of my scribblings here: http://themusicboxblog.wordpress.com/
I like tea, Joanna Newsom, swooning, strings and Russian literature. Sometimes all at the same time, ye gads.

Originally from Italy, I’ve lived in London for the past 3 years and I joined The 405 happy family about a year ago. After working in music and events, I went back to enjoy student life. I’m currently doing an MA in Digital Media, even though my main passion is old media. I’m obsessed with film cameras, polaroids, record players and super8. When I’m not geeking out in the library, you can find me records hunting in obscure flea markets and jumble sales, running from one exhibition and another or passed out in the corner of some warehouse party in east or south east London. And at gigs, of course, that I then immediately review for The 405. Among the last played tracks in my iPod, there’s Einstürzende Neubauten, DAF, Animal Collective, Yeasayers and Caribou (but I must confess I start craving for some good ol’ guitar music). I believe in live music, tarot.com and the BBC weather forecasts. I don’t have a TV ‘cos my life is already a TV show (and I’m the one to choose the soundtrack) and for the past 3 months I’ve drank only water.

Hello! I’m Steph, a Vancouverite with a serious case of the travel bug. I’ve been writing with The 405 for about a year and a half now and you may have seen a few articles, reviews, or mixtapes that I’ve posted in the past. Sadly, I don’t take advantage of the wondrous hot-bed for ski & snowboard in Whistler-Blackcomb, nor am I a die hard Vancouver Canuck hockey fan. But I love music and literature, and have recently become utterly intoxicated with my studies on the ancient worlds of Athens and Rome (gender, politics, power and the arts!) I think to quote a song written by the amazing Canadian artist, Julie Doiron, seems about right…
“It’s time to make some music right
It’s time to make this land feel bright
It’s time to use our hands for right
And make this place feel right tonight…” -Borrowed Minivans

Originally from Scotland, now kicking about the streets of South East London. Well, not actually on the street as such, I have a home… Have a Proper Job but when not doing that and am sober enough, can often be found twittering away my time or scribbling various rantings frequently punctuated with typos and poxy grammar across the pages of the405.

I’m Hector, but unfortunately without the Greek warrior association (man points). I enjoy long walks on the beach and i’m not afraid to cry (sensitive points).
I like music, but I guess so do most people. In particular I like American music, I think it’s the accent, lyrics sound better to me in American.
My favourite part of 405 is convincing important music people that I am equally important and that they need me more than I do they.
Hello chaps. I am Amanda. Some would call me a gorgeous blonde if I were either of the two.
I am currently awaiting a place at Falmouth uni for Illustration, drinking more than my caffiene allowance in energy drinks, avoiding the washing up (and the wrath of my housemate) and fitting in stand up comedy between being drunk and being hungover.
I am the egg man, we are the egg men, I am the walrus.
Hey hi! I’m Sam and I’m from Mexico, currently working on a PhD (top secret, shh!) at Sheffield. I’m addicted to music, theatre, books and whatever sounds came from an eBow. I’ve also got a knack for mispronouncing every single multisyllabic word I write (I’m just playing a part, y’dig?).
Fact of the day: I once met a fantastic musician from Brighton (name withheld, sorry), had a chance for an impromptu interview but went all fanboy and probably made her regret even talking to me. Oh, well.

Hello!
My name is Jonathan and I currently lurk around Kent. I write articles for the 405, though due to my shameful organisation skills they’re a bit of a rare fish. I love literature, theatre, film and music. I am also guaranteed to find any situation involving a monkey, someone dressed like a monkey, or anything resembling a monkey incredibly funny - unless it is a dead monkey.

Hey there. I’m Hannah, 24, born in Somerset based in London. Started to meet 405 people at various pubs and gigs and parks and things, then badgered Olly until he caved in and let me start writing reviews. I tend to talk people’s ears off about music and films, and then get pissed and show off my tattoo.
I love taking photos, and have done a few reviews over the past 6 months or so, first for Egigs and now for the 405. I also spend a lot of time convincing people they should drink more cider.
So yeah, that’s me. Good to meet you.

Greetings and salutations, I’m Fern, a Brighton-based contributor. I started writing reviews and putting mixtapes together in the early blog days of The 405, and since then have developed a love for interviews and video sessions. I’ve relished in watching the site get bigger and better every month and have met some bloody excellent people through it over the past year. For the time being you’ll mostly be receiving special mixtapes from me and the new Disposable 405 feature. Also, you can find me knocking over drinks and spilling the popcorn at the NotSoSilentFilmNight events.

I’m Vanessa, or Veee. I’m pretty new to The 405, writing reviews and sometimes articles since late 2009. I’m obsessed with music, books and Cadbury chocolate. At the moment, I really love Red Pens, railcars and Phonogram-The Singles Club comics. I live in Paris but, if you’re lucky enough, you’ll often find me dancing in London venues. I don’t understand tumblr. Does that make me a bad person?
Wadeson - PR
Word! My friends call me all manner of things, mostly Danny, and I mainly handle new initiatives, advertising, PR stuff, new contributor training and editing. I studied English and Film at Sussex, play far too many computer games, am known to appreciate a fine single malt whenever and wherever possible and find it surprisingly hard to write about myself.
I’m obsessed with Twitter, quoting Aaron Hunt, The Stool Pigeon and sleeping on floors. I’m probably over-excitable and I think it’s important to laugh whenever you possible can.
Music I dig the most is Mew, though I also thrive on break-beat, metalcore, and experimental jazz, so i’m always on the lookout for the more left-field stuff.
